IMPORTANT INFO

Your Tempo Healing is not in-network (INN) with insurance.

Insurance companies often:

  • Limit session length and frequency

  • Dictate what approaches can be used and often under compensate in-network providers.

We are happy to provide a receipt called a Superbill, which will help you get reimbursed for cash payments.

Many clients have out-of-network (OON) benefits through their insurance plan, but have never totally understood what they are, and so they rarely take advantage of them. If you have a PPO plan, there is a good chance you have excellent out-of-network benefits. Some plans cover as much as 80% or more of therapy costs.

You can either apply directly through your insurance for these reimbursements or use Mentaya, a company we partner with, to help make that process as streamlined and easy as possible for you. Please reach out to learn more.

Alison founded Your Tempo Healing so she could:

  • Focus on YOUR healing, not insurance paperwork and work-arounds

  • Create treatment plans based on what YOU need, not what insurance dictates they will pay for

  • We always encourage rescheduling over cancelling. Therapy is a treatment that works over time, with consistent attendance. Frequency is decided at the beginning of treatment and reviewed regularly. You will be assigned a regular day and time in Alison’s schedule to make keeping track of appointments more manageable.

    Alison always does her best to work with your schedule and find alternative times to meet if a conflict arises, as long as enough notice is provided.

    However, should you need to cancel and less than 24 hours notice is given (this includes if you forget to notify us), you will be charged a fee. More than 3 cancellations during a 6 month treatment period will be grounds for review and we will discuss barriers to consistent attendance together.

  • If a client has not logged in by 10 minutes past the scheduled start time, we will need to reschedule the appointment. The only exception is when you have contacted Alison and she agrees to wait beyond the 10 minutes. You will not be extended any additional time beyond your originally scheduled appointment time.

  • Alison requires that clients pay their account balance to zero prior to receiving further services. Clients who have questions about their bills should contact her via their Simple Practice portal.

  • Alison does not provide documentation for disability claims, gender affirming surgeries, or emotional support animals.

    This paperwork requires someone trained in assessing and monitoring for level of need, which she is not currently.

    In the case of disability paperwork, this requires a doctoral level physician to assess and complete.

    Alison’s priority is on providing a safe, confidential space where you can process and heal. Documentation like this often creates administrative pressures that impact her ability to be fully present with you and can create dual relationships that may impact the quality of our therapeutic rapport.

    Should you ever need this kind of support, it is always possible to discuss finding you an outside evaluator trained in providing these services.
