Why We Don’t Accept Insurance

Insurance companies:

  • Limit session length and frequency

  • Dictate what approaches your therapist can use and do not compensate for Music Therapy and other creative interventions

  • Often under compensate providers and offer no rate increases when cost of living goes up

I founded Your Tempo Healing so I could:

🎶 Use evidenced-based approaches, like Music Psychotherapy, without approval delays

🎶 Create treatment plans based on what YOU need, not what insurance dictates

Outpatient individual psychotherapy 55 minutes $235

Intake Appointment & Assessment 60 minutes $245

No show fee $235

Late cancellation fee $90

All fees are charged within 24 hours following your appointment or cancellation.

I accept HSA/FSA cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express

I will provide receipts, called Superbills, that you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. However, please just know that involvement with insurance will require a diagnosis.

Many of my clients receive partial or full reimbursement using these benefits. There are also services, such as Mentaya, that help streamline this process for you and make it very easy to submit claims.

Important Information

Cancellation/ No show policy:

If an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a fee of $90. If you fail to notify me or don’t send word until 10 minutes or less prior to your appointment start time, you will be charged the full rate, $235 fee.

You are allowed 3 cancellations within a 6 month treatment period. Should you incur any additional cancellations, they will be charged at the full rate of $235, no matter when you give notice.

Scheduled appointments:

If a client has not logged in by 10 minutes past the scheduled start time, we will need to reschedule the appointment. The only exception is when you have contacted me and I agree to wait beyond the 10 minutes. You will not be extended any additional time beyond your originally scheduled appointment time.

Account Balances:

I require that clients pay their account balance to zero prior to receiving further services. Clients who have questions about their bills should contact my office via their Simple Practice portal.

Long Term/Short Term Disability

I do not provide documentation for disability claims.

My focus is on supporting your mental health and personal growth. Completing documentation like this can create dual-role conflicts that impact the trajectory of our work. My priority is on providing a safe, confidential space where you can process and heal. Documentation like this often creates administrative pressures that impact my ability to be fully present with you. Should you ever need this kind of support, we can discuss finding you an outside evaluator trained in providing these services.
